The OurSmiles Dental Collaborative has been awarded funding as a Mecklenburg County Community Service Grant. June 2022.

The Leon Levine Foundation has awarded continued funding to LNCHC for programs and services. Thank you for supporting our mission to serve uninsured patients and families. June 2022.

 

First Citizens Bank has awarded LNCHC funding to provide services to the uninsured under its Community Impact initiative. June 2022.

LNCHC has recently been awarded a grant from the Mercanus Foundation. The award will be utilized to expand the clinic’s services to new patients. April 2022.

Davidson United Methodist Church has named LNCHC as a 2022 Missions Partner. Funding will provide partial support for the clinic’s Community Heath Worker. February 2022.

We’re thanking valued partner Novant Health for their continued support. Grant funding has been awarded to expand our chronic disease program for newly uninsured patients. October 2021.

 

LNCHC has received an award from Atrium Health, Community Engagement & Corporate Responsibility.  This unrestricted award for corporate partnership will be applied to the clinic’s  greatest mission based needs. August 2021.

LNCHC has been awarded funding for 7th and final round of The COVID-19 Response Fund. The fund was launched in 2020 by Foundation for the Carolinas and United Way of Central Carolinas to provide support to those most affected by the pandemic. View the full recipient list here July 2021.

The NC Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Rural Health has awarded Lake Norman Community Health Clinic a FY2022 Community Health Grant. The grant will fund chronic disease programs beginning July 1, 2021. May 2021.

 

LNCHC, in collaboration with Mecklenburg County Public Health, hosted a vaccine clinic on Wednesday, February 17th for Lake Norman residents 65 and over. One hundred twenty people received dose 1 of the Pfizer vaccine. February 2021.

The United Way of Central Carolinas has awarded LNCHC an IMPACT grant for the 2021 calendar year. Funding will be used to provide more comprehensive care to patients and their families. December 2020.

 

LNCHC has been selected as a FY2021 vendor for Mecklenburg County Public Health. The contract will provide care and services for chronic disease patients. July 2020.

 

Lake Norman Community Health Clinic has earned a 2020 Gold Rating from the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics Quality Standards Program. June 2020.

 

LNCHC has received an award from the Biogen Foundation in support of the clinic’s telehealth initiative for patient appointments during the COVID-19 pandemic. May 2020.

The United Way of Central Carolinas and The Foundation for the Carolinas has awarded LNCHC funding under their COVID-19 Response Fund. The grant will be used to offset both emergency and operational expenses incurred due to the coronavirus pandemic. April 2020.

 

 

LNCHC has received funding through the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust for ongoing service to the uninsured during the COVID-19 outbreak.  Funding was made available through the North Carolina Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (NCAFCC ) to distribute to clinics based on hours of operation during the coronavirus pandemic. April 2020.

 

 

LNCHC has been named as a 2020 Davidson UMC Mission Impact Partner. Grant funding will be used to continue our work addressing social determinants of health. March 2020.

 

Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center has committed a gift of $18,000 to provide continuity of service for families of our patients, addressing access to care. January 2020.

 

LNCHC would like to congratulate Board of Directors member Vickie Van Wingerden and Metrolina Greenhouses for being awarded “The Order of the Long Leaf Pine” by the Governor for lifetime contributions to the State of North Carolina. November 2019.

 

LNCHC administrative staff will attend the annual conference of the National Association of  Free and Charitable Clinics. The event will be held October 27-29th in Atlanta, GA. October 2019.

 

WestLake Church members will sponsor a community service project on the LNCHC grounds Sunday, October 27th at 9:00 am. This is the second year the congregation has donated time to beautifying the facility. October 2019.

 

Beginning September 17th, LNCHC will offer free yoga classes to patients and families. Classes will be held in the clinic lobby at 4:30 every Tuesday. Mats and equipment will be provided.  September 2019.

 

Elevation Church (Cornelius) will sponsor two community service project dates at LNCHC. Interior clean-up and grounds-keeping will take place  July 30th and August 1st. Elevation has partnered with the clinic in prior years to improve the grounds. July 2019.

 

LNCHC has received a third year of funding under Mecklenburg County’s Community Service Grant s program. The award for OASIS will provide care and services for chronic disease patients. June 2019

April 11, 2017. SPANISH INTERPRETERS NEEDED! Lake Norman Community Health Clinic is seeking interpreters to volunteer a minimum of four hours weekly. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and must have graduated from HS. Please contact Ileana Rivera at 704-316-6611.

 

Lake Norman Community Health Clinic has been re-accredited by the NC Association of Free and Charitable Clinics. An official Accreditation Presentation will take place at LNCHC on Wednesday, April 26th at 12:00 noon.

Lake Norman Community Health Clinic is the proud recipient of a spring 2017 Novant Health Physician’s Impact Fund grant. The Physicians’ Impact Fund (PIF) was created by doctors and friends in the greater Charlotte region to strengthen the health of the community through comprehensive health initiatives for the undeserved. The Lake Norman Rotary Club’s Wine Spectacular was held on October 22, 2016. The theme, a night in Tuscany, featured live jazz music and amazing food. Proceeds benefited the LNCHC and Little Smiles of North Carolina.
